Meet the easiest gluten-free biscuits you will ever bake. Pamela's Gluten-Free Buttermilk Drop Biscuit Mix makes golden, flaky-topped drop biscuits with real buttermilk in the mix and tender, fluffy middles. The entire recipe is two ingredients: this mix and a cup of cold water. No rolling pin, no biscuit cutter, no cold-butter anxiety. Just add one cup of cold water, drop spoonfuls onto a pan, and bake at 425 for about 14 minutes.

Drop biscuits are the shortcut great bakers have always kept in their back pocket, and this one finally belongs on the gluten-free table. These bake up the way biscuits are supposed to: crisp golden edges outside, soft and steamy inside, sturdy enough to split and butter. Each pouch makes about a dozen.

One mix, a full menu. Breakfast sandwiches, strawberry shortcake, chicken and biscuits, pot pie toppers, and the biscuits and gravy Sunday you've been putting off since your diagnosis.

GFCO-certified gluten-free and made with the quality ingredients Pamela's has been trusted for since 1988.

FAQs

A drop biscuit is made by dropping spoonfuls of dough straight onto a baking sheet. There is no rolling, no cutting, and no special tools, which makes it the easiest way to get fresh biscuits on the table.

Start with a mix formulated to rise, then stir just until combined; overmixing is what makes gluten-free biscuits dense. Pamela's drop biscuit mix uses guar gum rather than xanthan gum and bakes up golden, craggy tops with tender, fluffy middles.

Yes. The classic buttermilk flavor swings sweet or savory: strawberry shortcake, jam-and-butter breakfasts, biscuits and gravy, chicken and biscuits, and pot pie toppers all start here.

Not in the refrigerated dough aisle; major canned biscuit brands do not currently offer a gluten-free version. The fastest gluten-free path is a drop biscuit mix like this one: two ingredients (mix and cold water), no rolling, and about a dozen golden biscuits in roughly 14 minutes. GFCO-certified.

No. Real buttermilk is already in the mix. Just add one cup of cold water, drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet, and bake at 425 degrees for about 14 minutes. Each pouch makes about a dozen biscuits.

Made for gluten-free garlic lovers

I ordered the variety pack, and while my family and I loved all three, the garlic cheddar drop biscuits were our favorite!

My hack for gluten-free baking: I let the dough sit about 10 minutes after mixing (gluten free flour needs a minute to soak everything up). For these biscuits, it kept the dough pretty sticky (ideal).

One other tip for drop biscuits: As soon as I see drop biscuits start to brown, I quickly take the biscuits out, brush them with butter and a bit of salt, and put the sheet back into the oven until they're golden brown.

Between these two aspects, the biscuits were soft, fluffy, had crispy tops, and weren't dry at all.

So happy I found these!!

They were dry and dense. Not what I was expecting from Pamela's.

Crunchy peaks of deliciousness

I bought all 3 and tried the garlic & cheddar first. They were delicious! Texture was spot on with non GF equivalents, not dry. my favorite part were the crunchy peaks & bottoms. We reheated the leftovers in the air fryer which worked out great. Next up.. trying the buttermilk biscuits as a pot pie topping

Delicious! I added some melted butter on top at the end, and they were so good. The crumb is really nice and they aren’t dry at all.

Order came super fast and excited to try the other flavors!

Oh my;
had such good hopes for the many bags I bought of the gluten free cheddar garlic biscuits but alas; my sister who made them for us thought they had too much garlic flavor and dry which made them very crumbly. We will add more cheddar to them next we prepare them with hopes they are moister—more palatable— otherwise putting a bag on my neighbors patios like one would leave home grown
zucchinis—and run away really fast!

we tried the plain biscuits and they were OK. we noticed they kind of coated the roof of our mouth with like a weird chalky feel. gonna try the other flavors and see if they are any better. they werent terrible but they werent amazing. the price wasnt bad either for a gluten free product but the shipping cost definitely made it almost not worth it I think I paid $20 total for biscuits that were a little dry and chalky. not sure i would purchase again.
