I read reviews on some of Pamela's products and decided to try them. The pancakes and chocolate cake were very good. I am buying and trying more as they really are that great. My husband who can eat gluten loved the chocolate cake and thought it was better than a regular mix. Thank you Pamela's and please make more products for us.
I moved to an area where the stores do not stock This baking mix, but thankfully Pamela’s ships! The order and turn-around time was great especially around the holidays!
Compared to other regular (like Hungry Jack, Klondike, etc) and gluten free mixes, this one's the best I've ever tasted. Even if we could eat stuff with gluten, this would be the best pancake mix. It makes amazing muffins as well! The other day I made apple spice muffins (double the amount of apples and spices in the recipe) and they were delicious and lasted about 10 minutes. But the pancakes....SO GOOD.
As I was running low on my Pamela's baking mix, I intentionally hesitated to reorder because it felt prudent to utilize another brand that I had on hand. Prudent or not, there is simply no comparison. As someone who bakes their own breakfast breads, the start of my mornings just wasn't the same. Never again will I suffer such poor decision making!
This has replaced my all-purpose flour in the kitchen and forever will be my go-to!
I do not only use this for the suggested recipes on the back of packaging. I use this as a 1:1 substitute for ALL my recipes that ask for flour, including baking, soups, muffins, pancakes, scones - you name it! My family loves it too!
Side note: If a recipe calls for salt and baking soda/powder I skip it since I know this mix from Pamela’s does have it already mixed in. However, I have added additional baking soda/powder (half of what my recipes called for) and it didn’t hurt the recipe either. So it’s totally up to you.
