Pamela's Simple Sugar Cookies

1 bag Pamela's Classic Vanilla Cake Mix
8 Tablespoons (1 cube) unsalted Butter
4 Tablespoons water

Use heavy duty stand mixer.

Preheat oven to 325°. Use paddle (not whisk) to soften butter, then combine with Classic Vanilla Cake Mix and water on medium for one minute, or until dough comes together. Roll out dough 1/8-inch thick, cut out simple shapes with cookie cutters or knife, place cookies 1-inch apart on parchment paper.  Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until edges are light brown. Decorate with Pamela’s Cookie Icing made with Pamela’s Vanilla Frosting Mix, sprinkles* and/or candies*.

For fresh cookies anytime, refrigerate the dough in a log (or freeze), then slice and bake.


Pamela's Cookie Icing

Mix one bag of Pamela’s Vanilla Frosting Mix with up to 3 Tablespoons water. For fun colors, add wet or dry food coloring*. When using liquid food coloring*, reduce water to 2 Tablespoons, add more water if needed for desired consistency. Use dry food coloring* for the brightest colors. Icing will harden when dry.
