The start of fall makes me think of apples. I can see my neighbor's apple trees from my kitchen window. There are two trees and they take turns each year having the bumper crop. They are yellow apples - I don't know exactly what kind, but that never seems to matter after I spend the time to peel, mix, and bake off my lovely apple pies. (I always make them gluten-free no matter who is getting the pies!) My neighbor lets us go into her yard and pick what we want, but we have to be careful - these abundant fellows have been known to drop on one's head from time to time! When my baking is done, I bring a pie down to my elderly neighbor who is originally from France. Last year, I asked him if he wanted me to make him an apple galette. "No," he responded, "I want an American Apple Pie!" A week later he returned my pie plate, and with a twinkle in his eye, he told me that he didn't give his wife one bite! Enjoy the plentiful fruits of the season and the creations you make with them.

What do you do at Pamela's Products and how long have you worked here? I have worked here for 9 years. I work as a packer, hand-packing cookies, as well in Quality Control to ensure the cookies going into the boxes are up to Pamela's standards.

What is your favorite aspect of your job here? I love hand packing the cookies. I also like placing the paper discs between some of the cookies we make (it keeps them from sticking together) - it's a challenge when the cookies are moving at such a fast pace!

Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests? I enjoy going to the gym and hanging out with my 18 year old son. I do like to clean and I also enjoy an occasional Michelada and tequila tasting.

What is your favorite Pamela's product and why? The Chunky Chocolate Chip cookie is my favorite! I like to pack them too!
