Pamela's News
Pamela's Products is located in Ukiah, CA in Mendocino County, so when our neighboring Lake County was devastated by a wild fire called "the Valley Fire", we felt we had to help. This fire started September 12th and was not fully contained until October 6th. It was one of the largest fires in California's history according to preliminary estimates, destroying 1,958 structures that included 1,280 homes, 27 multi-family structures, 66 commercial properties and 585 other minor structures. Many people lost everything they owned because the fire moved so quickly that no one had time to save anything. Four people were killed and four firefighters were injured.

Pamela's donated 1,165 cases of product to various shelters in the area. We also were able to partner with a local school Oak Manor Elementary School in Ukiah by matching the amount of money that they made through their fundraiser. Together we were able to raise over $8,000 for victims of the fire.

On October 25th, Pamela's is donating desserts and volunteers to a "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Valley Fire fundraising event at the Ukiah County Fairgrounds. For more information about the event, CLICK HERE.

If you can't make it to the event, but would like to help, you can DONATE HERE. 100% of the donations go to help the victims of the Lake County Fire.

Gluten-Free Halloween
Having a party? Then you must see our spooky Halloween recipes! Going door to door? Be on the lookout for households participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. Teal Pumpkins are indicators that houses are Allergen Friendly. Your family can also participate by purchasing a Teal Pumpkin PAINTING KIT for $5 (while supplies last) to support the Teal Pumpkin Project.

To avoid a candy and treat overload altogether, look into alternatives. Allow your kids to go trick-or-treating with their friends, but encourage them to trade their candy in. You can offer them a gift of a specified value like a toy or even a special day of their choice. You can get creative based on what your children enjoy!

Another alternative to avoiding excess sugar intake is to look for a local dentist who participates in a Halloween Candy Buy Back Program. Dentists will buy back your candy for cash or prizes, and the candy will be sent to our deployed US military. Search for a participating dentist in your area.
Tips from Pamela's Kitchen
"When I make cupcakes or muffins, I like to use an ice cream scoop to put the batter in the muffin tin or cupcake liners. Every cupcake and muffin comes out the same size, and the scoop is really easy to use to get the batter right into the cup with no mess. Right now I have been loving Pumpkin Muffins!"
