My first Thanksgiving memory is from when I was about 5 and we went to my grandparents' motel (which was also their home) that they built in Calistoga, California. To host their 30 Italian relatives, they brought in big, heavy wooden picnic tables, arranged them end to end across their living room, and covered them in Thanksgiving-themed paper tablecloths. The grandchildren's job was to decorate the tables with colorful leaves. My grandfather would bake focaccia and turkeys in his wood-fired brick oven outside while my grandmother, who was vegetarian, made pasta with pesto sauce. (It was years before I realized that pasta with pesto was not a traditional Thanksgiving dish!) I can still see all the relatives, including my great grandmother, talking and laughing as they passed plates back and forth while my grandfather sat at the end of the table, doling out red wine from a large jug he kept at his feet. Inevitably, motel guests would interrupt the dinner to check in or to ask for hangers, but through it all, the dinner went on. It's funny to me that as I look back on my memories of Thanksgiving, it's not the turkey but that pasta with pesto sauce that comes to mind. No matter what foods your family shares, Thanksgiving is a time to be together, and is made all the more delicious by the people we choose to share it with.

Tip from Pamela – Stuffing
No stale bread to use for stuffing? No problem! It's easy to use a fresh loaf. Just cut into one-inch cubes and bake in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Fires in Northern California
Last month, wildfires surged across Northern California to the north and south of our manufacturing facility. These fires affected our employees and their families, displacing thousands in surrounding communities. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the fire, and we are thankful for the amazing first responders. Pamela's Products has made multiple donations to help those affected by the fires in Northern California. We encourage you this Thanksgiving to have gratitude for things we often take for granted, and to help others in need in any way you are able.

About our Cornbread &
Muffin Mix
!

"I absolutely loved corn bread and thought that I would have to stop eating it when I went gluten free. Then Pamela's came out with this super easy and versatile corn bread mix. I immediately ordered a case having never tried it before because it was a Pamela's Product and I have yet to find something I don't like of hers." – Scoober

"This is our favorite gluten-free cornbread mix. We make it with just a little sugar for a sweet bread or leave the sweetener out completely for a more savory treat. The instructions are clear enough for my children to mix it up with very little supervision while I'm cooking the rest of dinner. We will be buying this again, and again." – Ellenillustrates

"We love this cornbread mix. My favorite part about it, other than the fact that it is gluten free, is that the sugar is optional and you add it yourself. I'm not a fan of sweet cornbread, so I can leave it out. This is my gluten free cornbread mix of choice and I like to use it to make corndogs, hush puppy bread, our Thanksgiving cornbread dressing and taco pie among other things. It's the best." – Fatcat

"This one is a winner. It works well for those on a Gluten Free plan or not. It's hard to find Gluten Free products that work well for everyone. Pamela's are the best Gluten Free foods out there." – B. Hendriks
