This month is Celiac Awareness Month. When I started my company in 1988, the awareness about celiac disease seemed almost non-existent. According to statistics, the prevalence of celiac disease has more than doubled since that time, and in addition, many people have discovered they have gluten intolerance, which wasn't even recognized 28 years ago. With more people being diagnosed, there is an increased demand for gluten-free foods. My work is never done! I am always looking to find ways to bring new products to market so that my customers (some of whom have been buying my products since the beginning) can continue to enjoy satisfying meals every day.

May is Celiac Awareness Month and Pamela's is proud to support many national and regional organizations dedicated to raising awareness about celiac disease and gluten intolerance. We sponsor and attend many gluten-free shows, like the Gluten Free Food Allery Fest taking place in Minneapolis June 4 & 5 (for more information, including the educational seminars they offer, click here).

Meet Deb!
What do you do at Pamela's Products and how long have you worked here? I am the Creative Director at Pamela’s. I am in charge of our Brand look, and illustrate and design all of our packaging, trade show booths, brochures, etc. I have worked fulltime for Pamela's for 4 and 1/2 years and have been her package designer for about 20 years!

What is your favorite aspect of your job here?   I enjoy working with our great marketing and sales team, along with the team in Ukiah and I love to be creative-it's the best.

Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests? I knit and crochet, garden, bake and participate in long distance running events.

What is your favorite Pamela's product and why? My favorite has always been our Lemon Shortbread Cookies. Love how lemony they taste and the delicious shortbread. All of our products are so good…it makes me proud to be part of Pamela's.
